Artemio Rodriguez and Dave Lefner at Subliminal Projects Opening Reception

Printmaker Artemio Rodriguez was born to a working-class family in Michoacan, Mexico and his prints encompass this sense of being “in between,” and mix social criticism with traditional Mexican styles of folk and political art. Dave Lefner, a native-born Angeleno, records imagery inspired by L.A. itself, from fading signage to graffiti and neon.
