Matthew Bogdanos is a U.S. Marine Colonel and a New York City homicide prosecutor. Recalled to active duty on September 11, Bogdanos searched for terrorists in Iraq and Afghanistan for which he was awarded a Bronze Star. After the looting of the Iraqi Museum in Baghdad, Bogdanos directed the investigation of the theft and destruction. Some 5,000 artifacts, including many priceless works in the collection, have been recovered under his supervision.
