Doug Aitken
Los Angeles-based artist Doug Aitken’s video installations and photography narrate experiences of traveling and living within various cultures. A graduate of Art Center College of Design, Aitken has exhibited his work internationally including exhibitions at La Caixa Forum, Barcelona, Spain; The Fabric Workshop and Museum, Philadelphia; Musee d’Art Moderne de la Ville de Paris, France; and Museum of Contemporary Art, Chicago. Aitken received the Aldrich Award in 2000 and the international prize from the 1999 Venice Bienniale.
